FONDANT FIGURINE

MyCupcakes' Karaoke Boy

Mas, all the way from Bintulu e-mailed me and wanted me to do some fondant figurine to be given as a birthday gift and requested very specific fondant figurine as per this blog http://popocreation.blogspot.com/.


I am so thrilled by this kind of order because honestly I am in awe with how masterful this people are with fondant that they can basically create anything and everything from this gunk of sugar called fondant. The details is mind blowing and for someone asking me to do this is indeed an honour and of course and opportune to see whether I can do it or not.

So I told Mas that I cannot promise anything unless and until I give it a shot first and give her a sample of my work.

So, imagine this... me alone in my kitchen..... in the cold of the night.... (so the drama)... armed with cornflour and my fondant tools and the blob of fondant in front of me and with Bismillahhirrahmanirrahim and ... actually with such glee in my heart.... I proceed ..... and here it is peeps!

But of course I had to wake Erwin up in the middle of the night to show him my work! =)

Will put up more pictures later cause Mas wanted me to do a PRINCE figurine and a boy in a car.

As I said Excitement Excitement!

My little kaaap-kek promoter

My little kaaap-kek promoter

Our little one Emir Effendy (1 year 7m++), our precious little bundle of joy is turning into a running and climbing unstoppable machine...

He's learning new things everyday and his vocabs is increasing day by day..... and one of the things he can say now is kaaaapp.. kek and everytime our customer comes for pick up and I'd be showing them their cupcakes, he'd join in the conversation (with his tiny little finger pointing at the cupcakes) by saying kaaap... kek

And if you ask him (that is if he's not shy at the time), what is mummy baking? Split second answer - kaaap kek... hahaha

According to his nanny(ies) at the nursery, sometimes he goes around chanting the word... kaaaap... kek.... hehehe... he's promoting mummy's cupcakes to all his buddies hahaha...

Excitement excitement

Mas from Bintulu really made my day!!!!

I have been thinking about this kind of order and have been dreaming about doing this... it's just that I don't have the time and sometimes you kind of need a push to do this kind of order. Plus am doing this based on my own research and studies and gut feeling.... I do wish I can join classes for this... insya allah, in due time... one step at a time ya!

Her requests are brilliant as per samples e-mailed to me and I do hope I can live up to her expectation especially so when she said ".... it means a lot to me".... pressure pressure.... but pressure is a good thing, remember back in our uni days when assignments are due or we have exams tomorrow but yet zero reading has been done.... you know what I mean?

So I told Mas that I would make her some sample first =)

Am sooooooooooo looking forward to this and I think my hubby is even more excited that I am... he downloaded videos/tutorials/how to videos for me... and finally we're going to get to use our "garlic press" tool (*hint hint) which he got me ages ago....

Will put up pictures of course sooooonnnnnn...... it's an on going project and under going construction now =)

FULL MOON GIFT

Florence Lau ordered one hundred (100) pieces of MyCupcakes to celebrate her daughter, JAN's FULL MOON celebration and wanted to give them away as gifts to her family and friends.

She also ordered four (4) extra cuppies (ELMO) for her son because she told me that he kept asking for ELMO after seeing my ELMO designs (which later Florence told me that he had one in the car for supper, another one for breakfast and she had to keep the other two for later)

Initially, she e-mailed me me wanting a HELLO KITTY and MINNIE MOUSE edible images but I told her that I won't be able to comply due to the short notice as I need to order from my supplier and that it would take time to reach me.

Finally, she decided to proceed with the order with buttercream frosting and the decorations are to include - to write JAN's name unto MyCupcakes and to follow the designs I did for Niza (the pink baby shower theme) and told me to keep the decorations nice and simple. I basically have an idea of how she would want MyCupcakes for JAN to be.... the deco must be just nice... not too much... but just nice =)

She came all the way to our house from 7th mile.

So Erwin and I got to talking about how MyCupcakes' customers (from all walks of lives) are willing to come all the way to our house and putting their faith and trust in MyCupcakes' hands to make the best looking and yummy-licious cupcakes best suited for their function. We're so touched! This makes us even more determined to deliver to the best of our abilities beautiful beautiful cupcakes for you!!

Paintball and Panda for PAPA BEAR

Sarra ordered twenty (20) pieces of MyCupcakes to celebrate her husband's 28th birthday celebration and initially she wanted to leave all the decoration to me, but I told her it would be easier if she were to tell me her husband's favourite things and that it would be nice to incorporate them unto her cupcakes.

So she told me that her husband is an avid fan of paintball and that her kids refer to him as PAPA BEAR (but in this case the bear is actually referring to PANDA - due to PAPA's size... hehehe... so cute!)

So the rest is easy and here they are:

Romantic Birthday themed cupcakes

Niza, a friend of Fieza (yes their names rhymes I know =) ) ordered nine (9) pieces of MyCupcakes to celebrate her husband's 31st birthday. According to Fieza, Niza left all the deco to me and so long as they have a romantic themed, then it's fine enough for her.

Unfortunately I missed out on her requests that the cuppies are to have a purple and white theme-d! =(

But I made the cupcakes as "lomantik-lomantik" as possible for Niza and alhamdulillah she loved them!

And I just found out that Niza was the one who ordered the Red and white theme cupcakes to celebrate father's day .... I didn't know about this (I came to know of this when Fieza told me while waiting for Niza who was on the way to our place) because sometimes the arrangement would be made where Fieza would pick up the cupcakes from our house and she'd bring along the cupcakes and pass them to her friends at her work place. But this time around, Niza came to pick up the cupcakes personally.
