Aqiqah cupcakes for Rayyan Hardy bin Irwan Hardy Sajali :)

My sis in law ordered some cupcakes for her first born son Rayyan Hardy's aqiqah which was held last 18.3.2012.

Her request was simple - edible image of Rayyan :)

So these are the cupcakes and some of pictures taken on the day of function...

can you see Rayyan in his little red car?

he was such a good boy and in fact all smiley and going goo goo gaa gaa ... probably he knows that this is his special day..

My little spiderman with his spidey cake

Emir turned 4 last 28.2.2012... how time flies (teary) .... can you see the spiderman shirt.. can you see the edible image of a spiderman on his bday cake... it takes very little to make him happy ....

Fieza Zaza ordered my chocolate/vanilla frosted with choc buttercream cake to celebrate her bff Nieza's engagement.. apparently it is not meant to be a hantaran but just a cake to celebrate AFTER the function was over and done with...

Happy 29th birthday - order by Sue

Sue's order was simple - ARSENAL edible image and the wordings HAPPY 29TH BIRTHDAY & I LOVE YOU (A mixture of buttercream and fondant) with a budget of RM70. That's it!

MyCupcakes' first Adult Cake *blush blush

Deborah, who is my junior back in school ( .... I love the fact that MyCupcakes somehow brings old friends together ... am indeed blessed ...), wanted to order an "adult cake" to celebrate her husband's birthday and apparently it was like a covert operation trying to ensure the success of the surprise cake for him...

When she first told me about the "adult cake" involving b**bs.. the first thing that comes to mind (as much as I was excited ... slightly guarded ... about making an adult cake).. it must be tastefully done ya...

So this is what I came up with for Deb... she loved it .. and later on she text-ex me that the bday boy loved it.. and that is all that matters..

Loved how the "shawl" compliments the cake

The shawl MUST be added .. to ensure that the cake was decorated in a tasteful manner..

This angle was taken to show a tiny peek of the hmmm... well you know what I mean...

Deborah also ordered MyCupcakes' 16 pieces of BEN10 edible image cupcakes for her boys...

Well... there you go, MyCupcakes' first experience making an adult cake... enjoy the pictures!

Happy 5th Bday Samantha

Jessie ordered my choc chiffon cake with buttercream and edible image to celebrate her daughter Samantha turning 5 years old. She chose the image herself and that the same is to be edited with wordings. Jessie told me that Samantha loves icing and loves the colour purple.

Jessie also requested that there is to a "border" along the edible image and that's when I thought "rainbows with clouds" would make a nice border!

Usually my cake would be baked in round pan but Jessie requested a rectangular shaped cake and so I used my 9" square pan instead.

Her pick up was made at a mutual point ie the SHELL petrol station opposite Plaza Astana.

Note: I baked double batch for the cake - as bday gift for the bday girl. Thought that it would be nice =)

Note: I also got Samantha a candle in numeric 5 and made her some fondant butterflies. Told Jessie to put them at the last min on the cake. I didnt put the pink butterflies on the cake earlier cause the cake was kept in the fridge and you cannot keep fondant in the fridge as it will become wet from the moisture in the same.

BEN 10 for the boys and GIRLY Theme cupcakes for the Girls

Sandra ordered 40 pieces of MyCupcakes and that the same is to have BEN 10 edible image and a further 10 pieces of MyCupcakes with girly theme decoration. The cupcakes are meant to be shared with her son's friends at school for his bday celebration.

BEN 10 is apparently the bday boy's favourite cartoon and he was even wearing a BEN10 t-shirt when he came to pick up "his BEN10 cupcakes" with Sandra and his daddy.

A very eloquent and bright looking boy I would say ... he said in proper English language and in a very confident manner he said:

"Where is my cupcakes? I want to see my cupcakes."

I was happy to see how his face lit up when he saw his cupcakes and the fact that there is BEN10 on the same made him even happier..

I do love what I am doing =)

Just something to share... cause I do want my lil boy to grow up with good manners... able to speak eloquently... have a sense of confidence in himself.... it is a big world out there...

FOUR BDAY CAKES FOR ALYA, AINI AND AINA

Amy Joe, one of my BFF, emailed me asking whether I can bake and deco one (1) birthday cake for her daughter, Ms Alya who turned 1 on 14.2.2010 here in Kuching at her parent's place. But of course, I'm just happy to do the same for her and her lil one ... but later on there was a change of plan... Amy told me that the birthday party would now be shared with two other birthday girls, Alya's cousins - Aini and Aina... and she requested for four (4) cakes instead and advised me of her requests for the cakes.

Cake thoughts:

1. 1/2 kg for each cake Amy ... hmmmm (shaking head) ..... ayoooo not so nice lah Amy... so I baked all four (4) cakes my usual batch... roughly 1.3 - 1.5kg each I think... then it'd rise nicely and would have a nice height to the cake... my gift for the girls...

2. For the fourth cake... I'd surprise Amy and all three birthday girls with something sweet and spectacular just like them! fondant ... sweet and simple.. flowers... pastels... pink... blue..

So over the weekend I baked not one, not two... but four (muahahahaha - Count Dracula from Sesame Street style)...

Emir was also invited to the birthday party ... but he had an upset tummy ... and so we had to leave early... but am glad to meet my girlfriends; Amy, Lenny and Lyn (and her boy Adyan)... while wishing the others - Sal, Azra and Eton were here too... I miss my girlfriends... we get together gether soon k. Hugs and Kisses.
