Doorgift for Wiwie and Rudie - Kompleks Dewan Majlis Islam @ 3.12.2011

Wiwie's mom calls my late mom as "Udak" or aunty.. which means we're both cousins and Wiwie would somehow be ranked as my "niece"... these family tree arrangement is a bit difficult when your mom is no longer around to confirm whether you got them correct or not ....  So I was quite happy when Wiwie wanted me to make these doorgifts for her wedding reception as sometimes this is the only occasion when you actually meet your other family members...  and when you actually take an order from a family member it is indeed quite nerve wrecking and you would want to do the best of your abilities right?

Well, I made the following as a doorgift for Wiwie and Rudie's wedding reception at Kompleks Dewan Majlis Islam Kuching @ 3.12.2011.

1200 pieces to be exact (but I gave some extras for "just in case" cases - accidents/mishandling of cupcakes/plus there will always be some kids wanted to have some cupcakes right ;).

Swirl design with silver/purple dredges and individually packed in plastic casing with dome lid cover.

Simple, classy and chic!

Kelantan

My sis was invited to one of her good friend, Nora for her wedding and asked me to bake and deco some of MyCupcakes to be given away as a wedding gift and that she told me it'll be a gift from her to Nora for Nora to give to her husband (as part of the hantaran)(but later on I found out that it was later served as at a makan-makan gathering at her mother in law's house)

MyCupcakes as Wedding Gift

Cartina, (a friend of Has) ordered sixteen (16) pieces of MyCupcakes as a wedding gift for her cousin and specifically requested for four (4) bikinis, four (4) hearts, four (4) red roses with leaves and the best of all was four (4) tiered cakes as decorations for her cupcakes.

I was thrilled with this kind of orders! I wished I had more time to do cake stands for the tiered cakes, but due to the lack of time, I was happy with how the "two tier-ed cake" turned out.

I seemed to be getting a lot of requests for my "bikini". I have to work extra hard on my next bikini order, make them look more realistic looking.. insya allah, and with practise, in time I will do better with my fondant deco!

My next aim - fondant figurine!!! I aim to become like my idol - hanacupcakes.blogspot.com. Wish me luck ppl!

MyCupcakes as Wedding Gift

My friend Rudiah ordered fifteen (15) pieces of MyCupcakes to give to her aunt as a wedding gift and she requested that they are to match her aunt's theme which is white and green.




She was also worried that her kids would want some of MyCupcakes for themselves and decided that she'd give away twelve (12) pieces for her aunty and three for her kids... well MyCupcakes intervened and gave three for her kids... FOC and with pleasure...
