MyCupcakes is BACK!!!

Dear peeps and MyCupcakes' blog follower and cupcakes/cakes enthusiasts....

Firstly, am really sorry for the long absence... Am happy to say and share with you that there is something else baking in the oven.... Our second "production" =)

I am pregnant and in my second trimester. Yeay!!!

Am much more up beat and more energised now (as oppose to my first trimester which lead to me taking the time off) and I do miss MyCupcakes...

So am happy to announce that we are back in business... BUT .... I have to be very very selective with my orders okey.... do check with me first whether I would be able to take your orders... and would really2 appreciate it if the orders can be made waaaaayyyy in advance (preferably 1 week or more before) ok.. so I can manage my time!!!!

Do understand that I have to limit my orders and that I may even have to limit to 1-2 order a week.... hence don't be disheartened if I do have to say NO to you ok... hence do manage your orders... order early okeh okeh

Anyways:

This is my first order for Ms Ayon Foxie - ordered 2 months before pick up 16.9.2010 ... hehehe

(after my 3 month sabbatical from MyCupcakes) :

I made the roses myself...

Fully assembled with the rest of the other fondant deco - really happy with how the colours turned out...

SECOND BIGGEST ORDER TO DATE BY MYCUPCAKES

The biggest order I have done is 1700 pieces of medium size cupcakes but they were un-decorated ones - but silly me I forgot to take pictures in my amazing race to complete the order on time!

Anyways, this then would make MyCupCakes' second biggest order ie 500 pieces of MyCupcakes for KK Mas Gading's sixth convocation held at Pustaka (State Library) on 30.4.2010.

The deco(s) were - the college's logo:

... and a mortar board and to write KONVO-6 unto the same...

All 500 pieces of MyCupcakes waiting for pick up....

... Alhamdulillah... all 500 pieces are accounted for .... they all arrived safe and sound for the function ....

Black and White for engagement

A family friend Ayon ordered MyCupcakes to be given to her friend as an engagement gift and as part of hantaran (gifts) and requested for the same to have a black and white theme and to have the names of her friend and her fiancee on the cupcakes. She left all the decorating to me.

PINK GIRLIE Theme for Azy's friend

The very talented duo of the Cookie Jar, Siti and her sister in law whom I have had the pleasure of being friends due to similar heartfelt love and interest in ... yes ... you've guessed it... cakes and cupcakes... have made the decision to be on a hiatus (which I hope won't be too long) due to personal reasons.

So Azy was referred to me by the esteemed Cookie Jar and as I told Siti whenever this happens .. nerves nerves ... as they would expect the creative work of the Cookie Jar. But I promised Siti that I wont let her down.

2 separate orders for one bday boy

Kak Adlin initially left a msg on MyCupcakes' chatbox asking whether I can bake her a strawberry cake but later on decided that she wants strawberry cupcakes instead. I do love trying out new recipes and I do intend to add more to my currently limited to vanilla and choc cake/cupcakes' recipe. It's just that I couldnt find the time... but when an order requires you to do so.. you find the time and yippee yea yea... I made my first batch of strawberry cupcakes... =)

Kak Adlin also requested some specific wordings. She also asked for some suggestions on the strawberry cupcakes so I suggested to add some real strawberries and she said ok.


So here they are peeps:









Sixteen (16) pieces of strawberry cupcakes
topped with vanilla buttercream
topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberry

At the same time, I got another SMS from Esty wanting twenty (25) cupcakes - but for a different date (but later on it was decided that both orders will be picked up on the same day). So I told Esty that Kak Adlin (her sis in law) also ordered from me for Yussarovie's (the bday boy). Esty said it's ok and then.. "Let him shower in cupcakes" hahaha

So here is Esty's order for her brother:

with vanilla buttercream frosting
