Car Theme/Special Wordings

Intan ordered (through my sister's friend) 16 pieces of MyCupcakes to celebrate her other half's 25th bday. She specifically requested for specific wordings and that to have a "car" theme.. specifically WIRA in mind...

So I came up with the following for her:

Star Wars themed Bday cake for Aqmal

Ewin called me asking whether I could make a birthday cake with star wars themed for 11 year old Aqmal. Initially she requested for an edible image of the same but due to the short notice I said that I wont be able to deliver the same. Then, they came up with a Plan B - So long as there is a star wars themed bday cake, it would be fine.

So initially I made this:

But I was not so happy with how this turned out. It is ok but I know I could do better. So I told my hubby that I need to come up with another design.. my IT-savvy cum tech advisor for MyCupcakes came up with the print out for my Frozen Buttercream Transfer.... and it turned out to be much much better.

I am sure you guys know who this lil green fellow is...

This is my fourth attempt at Frozen Buttercream Transfer ("FBT").

Am happy with this one. (Big smile)

I love the fact that FBT kinda gives it a 2-D look to the design...

Can you see the sugar sparkles?
They are meant to be clusters of universe.

Can you see the dredges?
They are meant to be planets.

The colour blue was meant to denote the colours of the universe... plus I loved how the colours turned out! Very very colourful for an 11 year old.

I just love "rainbows" as borders...

Birthday cupcakes for Bang Adam

My cousin Ros ordered twenty one (21) pieces of MyCupcakes for her husband's birthday, Amran but fondly known to us as Adam.

Just a quick one - Bang Adam's real name is Amran, but we call him Adam. My neighbour's name is Yazid, but we call him Bang Nasir. My mother in law's sis' name is Tamam but we call her Aunty Jijah. We call her other sister Aunty Ot. Just some fun fact I'd like to share with you =)

Know anyone called by a name which is totally different from his/her actual name?

Anyways, Ros requested five (5) simple swirl decoration/Mercedez logo/BMW logo and to write HAPPY BDAY AYAH AMRAN. Simple but nice. Happy Birthday Bang Adam. Thanks Ros for the order. Boh jerak aaaa =)

MyCupcakes Defeated!! Car logos!

My friend Shafiza ordered twenty five (25) pieces of MyCupcakes (and one (1) piece of MyCupcakes for her husband) for her brother SHAH's 25th birthday. She specifically requested for sports cars such as Fairlady, Evo, RX8 etc to be drawn unto Shah's cupcakes and I was so excited with this orders and also had visions of RED FERRARI among others..

Knowing myself and Erwin, we'd do research on our customer's requests and printed out pictures of above said cars as guidelines for the decoration!

MyCupcakes' work place - must always be organised and tidy!

I tried and I tried and all the cars I did turned out to look like toy cars ... sob sob...

I was all prepared to see the end result wherein you'd be able to identify the sports cars which were decorated unto MyCupcakes (that is how we regards as success when it comes to decorating MyCupcakes if such are based on actual designs).

There I was with my prints and Erwin's laptop ready to deco... but for almost 1 hour, I tried and tried but each car drawn turned out looking like TOY CARS and none as I have imagined them to be!!! I tried and I tried but alas.... MyCupcakes defeated!! This is the first time that I am unable to comply with MyCupcakes' special requests!

I called Shafiza and told her about this and suggested that the decoration on MyCupcakes for Shah to be substituted with car logos instead. She said it was ok and that I have one (1) year to practise to draw all the sports cars for Shah's birthday next year! Gosh.. so sweet of her! Sob sob! I do wish that I could have decorated as she wished!

But putting that aside, I proceeded with the decoration and this is how they turned out to be:

As I told Shafiza, I am happy that she is happy with the substituted decoration for MyCupcakes

for Shah's birthday but

it would have been nicer if I could have given her what she wanted and

how she wanted MyCupcakes to be in the first place.
