Remember when my friend Elsie told me that MyCupcakes brings people together? This is so true with my junior Raynee... Apparently, she is married to my junior back in school (both SRK Merpati Jepang and Kolej Abdillah) and that she works at the same place as my husband's cousin.. two of them actually... this is Kuching peeps ...

... everyone seems to know everybody and somehow or rather you will find a connection here and there.

Anyways Raynee ordered the following:

Gift box 1 (xmas gift for her friend):

6 pieces of vanilla cupcakes
2 fondant deco
2 fresh cream
2 buttercream deco

Box 2 - for own consumption

6 pieces of vanilla cupcakes with fresh cream
3 pieces of vanilla cupcakes with buttercream deco for Aisya

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!!

My dear peeps ... fellow decorated cakes and cupcakes enthusiats...

Year 2009 is coming to an end... and 2010 is just peeping around the corner... what a year it has been... what an adventure we had with the colourful and wonderful world of decorated cakes and cupcakes... experience and experience ... made new friends... catch up with old ones... baked for loved ones.. wonderful wonderful!

Am taking time off for awhile to get some rest... unwind with the family.... update my blog... (kindly refer to MyCupcakes' calendar) ... dont fret peeps... will get back into action Year 2010... full blast!

Anyways, some pictures of MyCupcakes' xmas deco I did:

Found out peeps.. that decorating cakes and cupcakes does not automatically make you good at arts and crafts... I can deco cakes and cupcakes... but terrible.. zero skill at packaging... you see the above pic? Took me hours just to tie simple ribbons...

Erwin and I got to talking.. wouldnt be nice if I were to have my own personalised boxes for my cakes and cupcakes... you know those lovely boxes with matching paper bags with our logo and details on the side... (dreamy)... instead of the normal cake box and those simple white boxes with clear window ..... but that would also mean extra logistic for us.. storage for those boxes bearing in mind we are operating from home... and personalised boxes would mean extra cost and spending... lots to think there... and no worries peeps... Insya Allah... we still have a long way to go.. we can plan and dream ... cause that's how it all starts right?

Anyhow, here's wishing you a Happy and Merry Xmas and have a fresh start this coming new Year 2010!

My Jejak Kasih cupcakes

I have not meet my friend Adeline Elsie since Form 5 and that was since ages and ages ago ... and I only got to meet her when she came over to the house to pick up MyCupcakes for her xmas dinner....

She said: "Your cupcakes brings people together!" How true! How true! I loove having MyCupcakes ... which is why I called them my Jejak Kasih cupcakes =)

Jessie's Xmas order

When I do attend court... the rare times that I do... Only then I'd meet up with friends and meet new friends... and while waiting almost 3 hours for my turn (for a matter which only lasted less than 5 mins) some of us got to talking and the subjects ranged from anything to everything and of course the topic of cupcakes cropped up...

Based on the above conversation, I later got an email/sms from Jessie wanting 150 pieces of MyCupcakes to be given away as corporate xmas gifts... and that they are to be packed individually... She requested that the deco is to be kept nice and simple...

As you are well aware, we were officially launched on 5.2.2009 hence this is our first time celebrating Xmas with you all.... ho ho ho.... and this is MyCupcakes' first time ever launching seasonal cupcakes and as promised here it is peeps:

XMAS Project - Pre announcement

Peeps, I have been thinking about this for ages and will soon realise the following ideas and am impatiently waiting for MYSELF to find the time and complete my project...

Xmas Cake

I plan to do an 8" round pan 1.2-ishkg fruit cake (the weight is referring to the cake only) and that it'll be fully covered with white fondant (roughly 800gm). Each individual cake (top) will be covered with four (4) types of 2-D Fondant deco ie santa claus, snow man, xmas bells and xmas stocking.

There will be only limited no of fondant cakes... peeps... most probably TEN... of this sort of cake - if time permits me to do more I will =)

Xmas Cupcakes

I also plan to do xmas cupcakes and the deco is still undergoing ... will update you soonest! It will be in a box of 6... as of now... will see how that goes ok!

ALL SAMPLE LATEST (with prices and also announce formally date of pick up) BY THIS COMING WEEKEND!

You know the drill... just email/sms me for your booking and inform me once payment has been made to confirm your booking.... the you can just come over to our house and personally pick which one you would like ok.

The fondant decorated cake and the xmas cupcakes .. I believe would make a nice and sweet xmas gifts ... or if they are sweet and pretty enough for you which I shall strive to do of course ... you can make it as your xmas dinner centre piece or you can you just keep them for yourself =)
